King Quong Restaurant was a buffet restaurant in Salt Lake City that was
open from 1986 to the mid-1990s. It was owned by restaurateur Johnny Quong,
who ran a number of themed restaurants in Salt Lake City, including The
Hawaiian and The Tiki Hut.
They used the imagery from the 1976 King Kong to promote the restaurant,
which included a jungle setting and an animatronic gorilla inside. I have no
idea if they had permission for the use of the images.
